After a decade in our original Levin premises, the time came for VidaSpace to take the next step. What began as a modest base for a young business had supported ten years of growth, partnerships, and product development. As our team, ranges, and national reach expanded, it became clear that the next chapter would require a purpose-built home, one designed not only for how we work today, but for where we are heading.

Our new Levin headquarters sits directly alongside our original building, a symbolic and practical evolution. The new 2,775m² facility expands our footprint significantly, bringing together office, showroom, R&D laboratory, and distribution functions in one cohesive environment. Within this, a 475m² office and showroom space forms the heart of the building, creating a place where design thinking, collaboration, and daily operations converge.

The arrival experience sets the tone. A dramatic circular entry forms the architectural centrepiece of the building, creating a striking moment of welcome. With a tree at the centre, inviting visitors into the space while establishing the thoughtful design language carried throughout the building and our passion for nature.

For the first time, VidaSpace also has a dedicated showroom in Levin. This space allows clients, designers, trades, and project partners to engage directly with our ranges, experiencing materials, textures, and finishes in a curated environment. A comprehensive sample library offers a world-class resource for material exploration and specification.

Behind the scenes, innovation continues in ‘The Lab’, our in-house testing and development space. Here, materials are evaluated, new ideas are trialled, and products are pushed to perform at the highest level. It is a practical working environment, but one that reflects our ongoing commitment to research, refinement, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration was another key consideration in the design. Two large boardrooms, ‘The Cave’ and ‘The Engine Room’, provide inspiring settings for team strategy sessions, client meetings, and remote collaboration with colleagues and partners across New Zealand and around the world. Designed to support both in-person and virtual engagement, these spaces bring people together to share ideas and drive projects forward.

Operationally, the new facility represents a significant step change. The expanded warehouse and distribution centre allows us to hold substantially more stock, improving efficiency and enabling us to service projects throughout New Zealand with greater speed and reliability. It’s an investment not only in scale, but in the level of service we can offer our clients.

The office environment itself has been designed with the team firmly in mind. An open-plan layout creates a sense of connection and transparency, while a green-inspired palette brings warmth and calm to the workspace. Throughout the building, VidaSpace timber finishes and ALT™ by VidaSpace surfaces are integrated into the design, showcasing the materials in real-world applications and reinforcing the tactile identity of the brand.

The project was delivered by Homestead Construction, who provided a full land, design, and build package. Their collaborative approach, attention to detail, and commitment to the process made them an outstanding partner throughout the journey. In an impressive achievement for a commercial project of this scale, the building was delivered four weeks ahead of schedule.

The architectural and interior design were developed in collaboration with Spaceworks and Bluepencil Architects, whose thoughtful approach helped translate our ambitions into a space that feels both practical and inspiring. The finishes selection was done in-house, and of course includes some our favourite finishes from our friends at Powersurge, Autex Acoustics, Aspect Furniture, Bremworth, Quantum, and Premier Group, to name a few.

Today, the new Levin HQ stands as a central hub for the VidaSpace team and a place where ideas, materials, and people come together. It represents a significant step forward for the business, creating room for growth, deeper collaboration, and continued innovation in the years ahead.
