In June we held our first Bloom WorkShop in the VidaSpace Wellington Showroom. A workshop event working with everlasting blooms, delving into the elements of floristry design that translate to interior design principles on a larger scale. Namely the five central elements of floristry design: colour, form, line, texture, and space. We explored how to balance using the golden 3-5-8 rule, highlighting focal and filler pieces and their ideal ratio, creating movement, harmony, and unity with various textures, shapes, and space. Designers that joined us for the event created unique bouquets of dried flora, each showcasing their individual style and craft.

Last week VidaSpace had the honour of hosting the Auckland launch of Cape to Bluff Vol. 2 - the second volume in Simon Devitt and Andrea Stevens' acclaimed series documenting residential architecture across Aotearoa New Zealand.
