In June we held our first Bloom WorkShop in the VidaSpace Wellington Showroom. A workshop event working with everlasting blooms, delving into the elements of floristry design that translate to interior design principles on a larger scale. Namely the five central elements of floristry design: colour, form, line, texture, and space. We explored how to balance using the golden 3-5-8 rule, highlighting focal and filler pieces and their ideal ratio, creating movement, harmony, and unity with various textures, shapes, and space. Designers that joined us for the event created unique bouquets of dried flora, each showcasing their individual style and craft.
In architecture and interior design, material choices shape both the appearance and performance of a space. Among the many technical factors designers consider, Light Reflectance Value plays an important role in supporting visual comfort, lighting efficiency, and accessibility.
