Inspired by the historic intricate flooring found throughout Italy, the Italian Collection brings a refined, pattern-led approach to timber flooring. The range is defined by narrower, thinner planks in classic chevron, herringbone and straight plank formats, perfect for design versatility. It allows for detailed layouts, seamless transitions between materials, and the ability to create flooring that feels like considered artwork.
The Italian Collection reflects the precise style of traditional European timber craftsmanship. Each board is constructed using a substantial surface layer of select grade, slow-grown European oak that makes up over one third of the board’s depth, further supported by a stable spruce or birch ply backing. A traditional tongue and groove profile ensures a familiar, reliable installation method.
The use of select grade oak results in a clean, consistent appearance, free from heavy knots or visual distractions. This creates more emphasis on the pattern of the boards and is particularly suited to interiors where materiality and layout take precedence. The scale of the planks, smaller in profile and lighter in weight, opens up additional applications, making the collection ideal not only for floors, but also for stairs, walls, and ceilings bringing continuity of material and pattern throughout a space.
Finished with a durable lacquer and backed by a lifetime structural warranty, it is designed to withstand the demands of high-traffic environments while maintaining its appearance over time. With a proven track record, particularly in the New Zealand’s commercial sector, the Italian Collection has been specified across a range of high-traffic retail and hospitality environments where durability and long-term appearance are essential. Projects including Rip Curl Commercial Bay, the Fable Hotel Dunedin, Max Fashions, Nandos Sylvia Park, and New York Grill to name a few, demonstrate its ability to perform under constant use while continuing to look refined over time.
It is FSC® certified and suitable for installation over underfloor heating, supporting both environmental considerations and modern living requirements and a lifetime structural warranty further reinforces its long-term performance.
Colour plays a defining role across the range. Tones such as Notte, Bronzo, and Grande are achieved through a smoking process, allowing the colour to penetrate the timber and create a depth and variation that cannot be replicated with surface stains. In contrast, Pallido offers a lighter, natural blonde tone, celebrating the raw character of the oak.
Available in three formats, plank, chevron, and herringbone, the collection provides the flexibility to create both classic and contemporary layouts. With stocked options including Notte Chevron, Pallido Chevron, Bronzo Plank, Bronzo Chevron, and Grande Chevron, these timeless patterns continue to resonate across a wide range of interior styles. Take a look.
The Italian Collection is a study in balance: tradition and innovation, subtlety and statement.
