What does your job as Design Consultant entail?

My job as a design consultant for VidaSpace in Wellington entails understanding clients design needs and preferences for premium timber solutions. I provide in-depth knowledge and expert guidance about our various ranges, including their properties, benefits, limitations, and suitable applications. Each client has a tailored design solution ensuring high quality and aesthetically pleasing results for every design project.

What do you love about interior design?

I love interior design for its ability to transform spaces and enhance how people experience their environments. It combines creativity with functionality, allowing for creation of personalised, beautiful, and practical spaces.

Who are your design icons?

Justina Blakeney for her vibrant, eclectic design style blending bohemian and modern elements, creating spaces that are inviting and artistically dynamic. Frank Lloyd Wright for his organic architecture, harmonious designs, and integration with nature.

What is one of the most interesting projects you’ve worked on?

A project that aimed to create a dark, cave-like space where textured elements represented colour and finishes. It featured a moody, deep palette that integrated the external mountain views, allowing them to flow seamlessly into the interior.

What do you love about timber?

I appreciate timber for its natural beauty, versatility, and of course its sustainability. Its organic texture and unique grain patterns add character and warmth to any design.

What is your favourite VidaSpace product?

My favourite VidaSpace product is the TABU Veneer, featuring designs and distinctive unconventional patterns inspired by the history and architecture in Italy. The excellence in wood dyeing technology creates an exotic range that I love.
